Joe Szostak is an author, researcher, and alternative historian. His breakthrough first book, Evidence of Lost Ancient Civilizations: Case Closed, offered a unique perspective into mankind's earliest origins and the theory that an advanced ancient civilization once existed upon the Earth prior to recorded history. His subsequent books, Riddles of the Past: Solving Mankind's Ancient Mysteries, and Mankind's Origins: The Hidden Secret Revealed continue in the same tradition of informing and educating the public, and delivering a vital message.

Conventional science and history are incomplete and rampant with inaccuracies and inconsistencies. In fact they are so woefully inadequate that in many cases they are guilty of misrepresentation, fraud, and malpractice in promoting their version as the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. The problem with modern science and its accepted paradigm is that it isn't consistent with the evolving interpretation of recently discovered ancient anomalous artifacts, which display a global pattern.

Mainstream history and science, by their very nature, cannot be trusted. They are "mainstream" because they are accepted and supported by so-called "authorities" (scientists, historians, professors, politicians, members of the media) and those in the employ of the elite and powerful. Their survival depends on serving the agendas of those same authorities, and they are therefore nothing more than a propaganda tool serving the "party line". Their established position has been rather than to investigate or debate the substance (new evidence), they would rather ridicule or destroy those who present it, regardless of their credentials.

Joe Szostak's exploration of humanity's ancient past has led to the exposing of mainstream science and history for their deception, negligence and fraud in their presentation of human evolution and development of ancient civilization. 

The approach Szostak has taken is a refreshing departure from the format most books use to present their story. Unlike many other books that deal with this subject he presents convincing and indisputable evidence in the most dynamic format. It encompasses all theories involving our ancient past, examines all aspects and evidence, and contains much more substantial documentation than books dealing with similar subject matter. The authors of such books could have researched far deeper and found much stronger evidence than what they did to support their argument. They also fail to adequately explain how the evidence they submit conclusively proves the existence of an advanced ancient civilization, lost technology and knowledge. Simply presenting data and asking the reader to draw a conclusion isn't necessarily the best idea. And finally, they put forth an argument for lost ancient civilizations that possessed advanced technical knowledge. However, that is where they draw the line. Another way Szostak's books are unique is that they explore ancient anomalies not identified or mentioned by other authors writing about similar subject matter. These include:

• The Cambrian Explosion occurred on Earth at a time when only single-celled organisms inhabited the planet, and it sent Earth into an extended period of time where glaciers covered nearly the entire planet. Before 580 million years ago most organisms were simple, composed of individual cells. Shortly after thawing, 530 million years ago, the Cambrian Explosion introduced a huge, diverse population of more complex multicellular animals into Earth's biosphere. Such a large-scale introduction of life had not occurred before nor has one occurred since. What is the explanation for such an epic event? How could life on Earth take such a dramatic turn simply by the receding of glaciers or breaking up of a supercontinent (Gondwana)? It wasn't the only time our planet has witnessed the melting of glaciers or continental breakup. What was so special about this instance? How do you explain such a sudden and spontaneous change in the fossil record? Since you can directly rule out Darwinian evolution the Cambrian Explosion could only have been the result of (a) some unknown natural cause so unique, complex and immense that it is capable of altering the life cycle by 180 degrees on a global scale, (b) the intervention in evolutionary development on Earth by an outside force or entity, quite possibly extraterrestrial, or (c) a divine act. Left with these possibilities we can only conclude that 530 million years ago a brand new form of life was somehow mysteriously introduced to Earth - long before the appearance of man or animals. If this was possible once then why not twice, or even more often in recent history? This might help to explain the abrupt termination of Homo erectus and subsequent immediate emergence of Homo sapiens. Isn't this the same type of situation?

• The curiously rapid development of the Homo genus and Homo sapiens in comparison to other semi-intelligent life and mammals on Earth.

• Neanderthals pre-dated Homo sapiens by many thousands of years, yet they co-existed for many thousands of years as well. The prevailing scientific opinion is that Neanderthals were nothing more than "cousins". So if modern humans aren't related to Neanderthals where did Homo sapiens come from? Having a superior intelligence to Neanderthals why didn't Homo sapiens eradicate the "primitive" Neanderthals instead of living with them for many thousands of years?

• The abrupt termination 200,000 years ago of Homo erectus and subsequent immediate emergence of Homo sapiens is very peculiar. With Neanderthals at least there was an overlap of several thousand years. Are we to believe that, after enduring 1.5 million years of the harshest conditions on Earth, the longest-surviving hominid this planet has seen (Homo erectus) suddenly decided to disappear, followed by the instantaneous appearance of the sophisticated and highly intelligent Homo sapiens model?

• Mainstream science claims that Mitochondrial Eve is the woman who is responsible for all currently living humans. She is believed to have lived in East Africa around Tanzania 200,000 years ago. Likewise Y-chromosomal Adam is recognized as the patrilineal common ancestor from whom all Y chromosomes in living men are descended. If this is supposed to explain where all humans came from then where did Mitochondrial Eve and Y-chromosomal Adam come from?

• A genetic study suggests that early human beings may have had a close encounter with extinction when their population shrunk to as low as 2,000. How could such a rapid decrease suddenly, and magically, be reversed all by itself? The out-of-Africa migration is estimated to have occurred about this same time, 60,000-70,000 years ago. We are told by contemporary science and history that Homo sapiens subsequently spread to all continents, replacing earlier hominid species. How could such a mass migration be possible (let alone successful) at a time when human population on Earth was at its lowest point ever - only 2,000?

• The majority of mankind (85%) has a blood factor common with the rhesus monkey (Rh positive). This factor is completely independent from the A, B, and O blood types. Blood factors are transmitted with much more exactitude than any other characteristic. If man and ape evolved from a common ancestor, their blood would have evolved the same way. All other earthly primates also have this Rh factor. But this leaves out the people who are Rh negative. If all mankind evolved from the same ancestor their blood would be compatible, which modern day blood types are not. So where did the Rh negatives come from? If they are not the descendants of prehistoric man, then who are they the descendants of?

• How did humans learn to speak? Mainstream science is trying to sell the concept that human speech and the ability to communicate came about simply from a (mysterious) biological change to the brain (a mutation they claim), along with anatomical changes to the skull, allowing for a more developed vocal tract, when primitive humans first began to walk upright (bipedalism). We are the only species on this planet with this ability. Furthermore, it is most perplexing that the only animal that comes closest to producing anything that even vaguely resembles human speech is not another primate, but rather a bird! Where do our history and science textbooks teach this?

• Darwin's theory of "natural selection" cannot account for the appearance of intelligent, hairless Homo sapiens, so what can? The idea that we shed all of our bodily hair in order to survive because we are stronger makes no sense. Because right after we shed our bodily fur we had to start wearing furs in order to keep warm. Had we not clothed ourselves in furs we would have frozen to death.

• Why is the human species so unique? We don't see monkeys building cars or horses building houses. These animals simply haven't progressed in the same way humans have. Because the rest of nature hasn't changed then why should we? What makes Homo sapiens so special? This circumstance suggests that we are seeing something that has gone against nature. And if it has gone against nature perhaps that means that some external force or entity has been manipulating nature.

• A recent study suggests that rapid climatic change (global warming) resulted in the "shrinking" of various prehistoric mammal species in North America. If this is the case then what is the explanation for dozens of other "giant" prehistoric mammals who lived throughout North America during this time period (circa 50 million years ago)? Why weren't they affected by this "climatic change"? Also, what about dozens of other "giant" prehistoric mammals who lived throughout the world during the same time period? Are we to believe that "climatic change" was only limited to North America? If global climatic change was the reason for a gradual reduction in the size of mammals, as this study suggests, then why did they remain "gigantic" until as early as 10,000 years ago (Woolly Mammoth)? If they insist that it was natural global warming then what caused it? Humans weren't around 50-56 million years ago. There were no cars or factories emitting harmful carbon dioxide into the atmosphere or damaging the ozone layer at that time. What could the explanation possibly be for a "greenhouse effect" 56 million years ago? Or, if the global warming conditions were artificially induced, then who or what was responsible?

• Strange skeletons, skulls, and a red-haired race of humanoids that existed on Earth in ancient prehistory.

• The role that gravity played in the development of humans, animals, flora and fauna on Earth in prehistoric times.

• The paradox of modern-day human remains and artifacts discovered in soil, rock, and coal formations that date back far later into our distant past than when humans were supposed to have existed on Earth.

• His argument that Egyptian population wasn't large enough to completely build the Giza pyramids from start to finish. They could only have been responsible for the restoration and refurbishment of such impossible stonework.

• If the Great Pyramid was intended to serve as a tomb for the Egyptian pharaohs then why has there never been a mummy found in any pyramid in Egypt? Passageways inside of the Great Pyramid are far too small for it to have ever served as any kind of tomb.

• The glaring lack of documentation left by the Egyptians of how the pyramids were built. This is certainly not consistent with their reputation for meticulous planning and record keeping in every detail of their day-to-day existence.

• Egyptian authorities are proud to release genetic information relating to the workforce which built (restored) the pyramids claiming this is proof that present-day Egyptians are direct descendants of them. Yet they are reluctant in releasing the same information about the Pharaonic royal bloodline. Why is this? Could this be the "smoking gun" - proof that the pharaohs were not from Egypt? If this is the case then who were the Egyptian pharaohs descendants of?

• Mankind has always demonstrated a positive progression in technology and architecture over time. It is a constant. Our buildings, bridges, airplanes, ships, cars, telephones and computers are constantly becoming improved. This only makes sense. As a civilization develops new technology it applies it and improves on the previous design/model. However, for some strange reason ancient Egypt defied this universal law of technological progression. Their civilization was in fact regressive, not progressive. Their ability to design and construct pyramids declined over the years and the remaining physical evidence speaks for itself. The original knowledge they had acquired was somehow lost over time.

• The contradiction of skeptics who claim that photographs of paintings or artwork inside of Egyptian temples depicting ancient flying craft and extraterrestrials is nothing more than a case of creative computer-generated editing. They choose to (conveniently) ignore the many paintings that have hanged in museums and private collections around the world for hundreds of years, untouched by human hands that also depict ancient flying craft and extraterrestrials, or cave paintings and petroglyphs dating to antiquity which also show aircraft.

• The double standard that is employed by archaeologists and Egyptologists in "cherry picking" historical data and accounts from Egyptian high priests, historians, and philosophers. They are totally accepting of historical accounts from a source, and even use that individual's experience to support their argument, as long as it fits neatly within their paradigm of ancient history. However, if that same source makes a controversial claim they summarily reject it. The establishment is choosing what it wants to believe, creating and manipulating history, not investigating or reporting it.

• Elaborate, ancient cave paintings were not possible without the aid of artificial light.

• Discovery of tropical plants and deciduous trees in Antarctica and Greenland indicating that they once enjoyed a much warmer climate in the past, therefore were located much closer to the equator.

• An explanation for the recurring shifting, like clockwork, of the Earth's poles throughout history and why these repeating polar shifts coincide with famous global cataclysmic events recorded in our ancient past that resulted in the displacement and demise of advanced ancient civilizations.

• Ice core data collected from samples in Antarctica provides valuable information going back 400,000 years. It measures atmospheric dust levels (ppm), CO2 levels (ppmv), and temperature on Earth. This data demonstrates an increase in atmospheric dust levels, which follows a cyclical pattern. Dust levels rise then drop back off. Whatever occurred, it happened in our distant past repeatedly. The ice core data clearly indicates that a major global catastrophe occurred on Earth on a synchronized, regular basis in order to account for such high atmospheric dust concentration.

• The peculiar similarity in global pyramid building, mummification, and linguistics.

• Multiple ancient civilizations, continents apart, arising simultaneously.

• The unprecedented leap in technological advancement during the 4th and 5th millenniums BC, when these civilizations first appeared. A suspiciously incredible amount of inventions, discoveries or technical introductions occurred during these two millenniums, as compared to those before and after.

• Domestication of wild plants and animals was not possible by a primitive hunter-gatherer society. DNA study has shown that all dog breeds can be traced back to wolves, not coyotes, hyenas or jackals. Breeding a domesticated dog from a pair of wild wolves has never been achieved through modern breeding. How could our primitive ancestors have accomplished this? Mules are a hybrid and may only be produced by crossbreeding between horses and donkeys. This is a very rare and unnatural occurrence - a forced union because mules are born sterile. The origin of corn remains a mystery because the ancestral wild plant has never been located. It is an established scientific fact that corn is a cultigen - a plant engineered by humans.

• Demonstrating the ancient knowledge that mankind has forgotten or which has been lost through the ages.

• An explanation of why evidence of ancient technology and civilization is so difficult to find.

• A description of four common forms of suppression that lead to concealment of the truth.

• A presentation of a final hypothesis that utilizes the three basic elements of crime detection - Motive, Means and Opportunity - to prove that it is plausible ancient Earth was visited by extraterrestrials who may have tampered in mankind's development and evolutionary process.
